I earned a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at Appalachian State University. I have over 15 years of experience providing psychological services in a variety of settings including Broughton Hospital, CMC-Emergency & Crisis Response, outpatient treatment clinics, comprehensive care organizations and private practice. I also write for Pride Magazine, a cultural magazine focused on promoting social, business and cultural awareness in the Charlotte community. My columns aim to help decrease the stigma and increase awareness of mental wellness.
Outpatient Treatment Services:
Areas of interest and specialties include treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, OCD, behavior, anxiety and mood disorders, adjustment to life circumstances, and those in need of therapeutic support and guidance using a cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic perspective.
Testing & Assessment Services:
I also provide Psychological Testing and Career Based Assessment services. Psychological Testing is beneficial for directing and planning treatment and offering clarity when a diagnosis is uncertain. Career Assessments can offer direction and interpersonal insight. Common assessment purposes include:
